Use the area and district listings when you know where you are and need to find a nearby bank branch. Choose your area to see the institutions and branches listed there. Each entry can help you find practical details, such as the branch location and phone number. The listings are useful for people who live in the area, work there, or are visiting. They also make it easier to search outside Kampala, Uganda’s largest city.
The directory checks institutions against the register published by the Bank of Uganda, the country’s regulator. The register currently lists 341 licensed institutions of all kinds in Uganda. Of these, 21 are commercial banks. You can use the area pages to identify branches near you, then open an entry for more details. You can also check whether an institution appears as licensed. If you need to visit or call a branch, confirm its details before you go.
