Brokers are firms that act between clients and financial markets. They help people or organisations buy and sell financial investments. They may also provide information about transactions and handle instructions from clients. A broker is not the same as a commercial bank. This section covers brokers in Uganda and gives practical details, such as office locations and phone numbers. Many firms may have an office in Kampala, Uganda’s largest city.
The Bank of Uganda is the regulator. It publishes the official register used to check the institutions shown in this directory. The register currently lists 341 licensed institutions of all kinds in Uganda. Of these, 21 are commercial banks. Brokers belong to a different type of financial institution. Each directory entry should be checked for its current licence information and contact details.
The firms in this section are listed for reference only. Their inclusion does not mean that the directory recommends or supports them. Use the contact details to ask a firm about its services or office location. You can also check the Bank of Uganda register to confirm whether an institution is licensed.
